Omar Francisco Lechuga Palomo is a Biochemical Engineer specialized in Food Processing graduated from ITESM Campus Querétaro in Mexico with more than 23 years experience in the food industry.
He has been Quality Assurance Manager for Gatorade® of Mexico at the Guadalajara Plant from 2003 to 2006 with the responsibility of guaranteeing the quality and safety of an emblematic brand in the health and nutrition portfolio.
Later he was Product Development and Packaging Manager for PepsiCo. Latin America from 2007 to 2011 responsible for the development of packaging and product for non-carbonated drinks from Pepsi for the region ensuring that the products and packaging met the regulations and needs of the different markets to which they were directed. Among the main achievements is the implementation of a linerless lid on hot fill products and the start of the first hot fill bottle blowing operation for PepsiCo. In Chile.
As Director of Research, Development and Quality for Mars Chocolate México, Effem de México, Omar was responsible for the development and quality of brands such as M & Ms®, MilkyWay® and Snickers® for Mexico and Central America.
In Kerry, Omar has been R&D Director for Food Systems LATAM, General Manager for Kerry Mexico and Director of Research, Development and Applications for Kerry Latin America. Currently he is working as the R&D Head for MENAT Region.
