Federico Duarte is the CEO of Nutrition from Water (NXW), a nutrition technology company harnessing biotechnology to deliver affordable and sustainable nutrition. Having grown up in Latin America and worked across the global south as an entrepreneur and corporate leader in the food industry, Federico developed a deep awareness of the challenges communities face in accessing quality food. At NXW, his ambition is to put biotechnology at the service of nutrition equity, while seizing the business opportunity in the rapidly growing affordable nutrition market.
Before his business career, Federico trained as a fine-dining chef and worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in France.
