Christophe Chantre
Co-founder & CEO,
Tender Food Inc.
Co-founder and CEO of Tender Food - a food technology company on a mission to make alternative meats so delicious, nutritious, and affordable that eating animals just won't make sense anymore! Why? Because meat is one of the most destructive and polluting industries on our planet and making alternatives to meat also happens to be the most capital efficient way of fighting climate change! So at Tender, we're tackling that head on by building breakthrough manufacturing platforms that create a new generation of delicious, healthy, and affordable meat alternatives, so that choosing them becomes simply the better option, not a sacrifice. Previously worked as a program lead at the Wyss Institute at Harvard University to develop and validate functionality of regenerative heart valve bioprosthetics, while also supporting various other efforts to commercialize technologies for various industries, ranging from sustainable foods, to textiles and regenerative medicine. Received a PhD in Bioengineering, carried out between the University of Zurich and Harvard. Received Bachelor and Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering from EPFL and ETH Zurich (Swiss Institutes of Technology), respectively.
