Christoph Wegener
Since August 1, 2023, Christoph Wegener holds the position of Chief Markets Officer and acting President BIB & SP. In his role he is part of the SIG Group Executive Board of SIG Group AG, Switzerland. From April 2021 – July 2023, Christoph acted as Senior Vice President Commercial.
In this role Christoph was responsible for SIG´s Global Commercial Strategy, Innovation, Marketing and Category Management. Christoph joined SIG Group in 2015 as the Head of Global Sales & Business Development in Germany, responsible for global initiatives to drive SIG’s top-line growth, large deal approval, sales strategy and commercial excellence.
From 2018 – 2021 Christoph held the position of Chief Markets Officer MEA, SIG Combibloc Obeikan, Dubai UAE, responsible for the Market Operations Department with 195 FTE in sales, marketing and technical service in 17 countries of the MEA region. In this role he was also member of the Executive Board. Prior to SIG Group, Christoph worked as Principal at The Boston Consulting Group, Berlin, Germany, for 8 years, leading more than 10 client projects. Christoph holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) of Oxford University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics of University of Rostock.
