Anne Mertens-Hoyng is Senior Director Chocolate Confectionery and Global partner lead NextCoa. She started at Cargill as commercial trainee 25 years ago and has also held leading commercial positions at Tata Steel and Bunge. Her roles have extended from commercial to pricing, strategy, program management and innovation.
With her passion for leading in strategy and innovation, Anne is currently heading Cargill in the development of new indulging solutions in the area of chocolate confectionery, as well the lead of innovative partnerships with startups like Voyage Foods, resulting in the NextCoa cocoa-alternative solution presented here in Gulfood 2025.
