Syrup preparation and minor ingredients mixing system
Carbonated soft drinks as well as many still beverages are formulated with a number of minor ingredients that are commonly pre-mixed into a concentrated solution that is then blended with simple sugar syrup and water into the final syrup tanks; furthermore, juice-based beverages can be added with different kinds of thickeners (e.g. pectin or CMC) in order to increase product viscosity. The syrup preparation system is equipped with a set of tanks provided with stirrers for the best mixing and instruments for the automatic control of process. The system is provided with diaphragm pump and with all the necessary accessories for the emptying of minor-ingredients drums and the dosing into the syrup. The preparation of thickeners can be carried out with hot or cold dissolution; the Powder Mixer by ALFA LAVAL, integrated onboard, disperses powder into syrup quickly and efficiently, incorporating thickeners, vitamins in powder form, stabilisers, xanthan gum and emulsifiers in the concentrations required. The equipment is completely cleanable: a set of valves and accessories is included for this purpose.
