Sorbic acid is white to light yellow flakecrystals, crystal particles or crystal powder,odorless or slightly smelly, and is easy toabsorb moisture after long-term exposureto the air, and discolor due to oxidation anddecomposition. Sorbic acid is insoluble inwater, so it must be dissolved in ethanol orpotassium bisulfate before use.
