The SteR FL4.0 project integrates different sterilization processes in a single machine, such as water spray cycles and air/steam cycles mixed by a fan. Numerous variants allow for optimizing water and steam recovery (SSSP systems) or following the strictest food safety specifications “FDA compliant machine”. Sterilization islands: all SteR FL4.0 autoclaves are designed to be installed in automatic systems for loading and unloading baskets and for their movement towards automatic systems for loading and unloading the containers to be processed in the baskets themselves. These systems transform a batch process such as the autoclave into a continuous process. A closed system that continuously receives the product to be sterilized from a conveyor belt and always returns it continuously sterilized, washed and dried, ready for final packaging. SteR SPPP 5.0 Energy Recovery Systems: all SteR FL4.0 autoclaves are designed to be integrated or combined with process water heat recovery and cooling systems capable of meeting the requirements of Industry 5.0. In particular, the SteR SPPP 5.0 system represents the new generation of utilities management systems capable of “storing” the energy that would otherwise be lost during cooling in order to reuse it directly in the next cycle.
