Semiautomatic filling and capping machine for spouted pouches POUCHELITE is suitable for flexible pouches (with an already existing spout) with liquid/semiliquid products by mean of a Doselite® volumetric piston filler with an adjustable dosing range and closing the same with one size of plastic screw cap. The cap is tightened by a pneumatic motor with torque regulation. This unit can fill viscous products containing soft particulates or fibres and it is suitable for hot filling. The operator inserts the spout on the collar. The volumetric filler determines the volume of product by a hand wheel regulation. Suction and filling speed are both adjustable. By manually moving a lever, the filling valve goes in working position; the operator starts the filling cycle by pressing a button. At the end of the filling cycle, the machine can inject nitrogen in the pouch for increasing the product shelf life and helping preservation. The injection time and flow are both adjustable through a delay and a pressure regulator. Successively, the operator puts the cap on the spout and moves the closing head in capping position. The cap tightening is performed by pressing again the start button. The cap torque application is adjustable. The machine can be connected directly to the product storage tank to aspire through a flexible hose, or it can be equipped with a 6, 15 or 30 litres conical hopper. All parts in contact with the product are made of AISI 316 stainless steel with through TIG welding in a controlled atmosphere and pharmaceutical level surface finishes. The sleeve, piston and process valves can be easily and quickly disassembled for cleaning or inspection and can be steam sterilized or washed with sanitizing solutions.
