Machine for processed cheese It is a cheese product made from milk and other unfermented dairy ingredients which is mixed with emulsifiers. Processed cheese comes in very different forms, all for different purposes. Short history about processed cheese Processed cheese also known as prepared cheese, plastic cheese or cheese singles has its origin back in 1911, developed and invented by a man from Switzerland called Walter Gerber. However, it was James L Kraft who first applied patent on processed cheese in 1916, beating Gerber to the punch. James L. Kraft’s cheese was named Kraft Foods, and it was also Kraft who created the first commercially available sliced process cheese back in the 1950s.
