Carrageenan
Carrageenan, also named as carrageenan gum, is a type of polysaccharide extracted from marine red algae (including
Eucheuma, Chondrus,etc). The Kappa carrageenan produced by our company is free of smell and taste with white or pale yellow color. It can be dissolved above 70℃ with good stability, forming a good synergy effffect with other colloids among food, chemical,medicine and other daily uses.
Carrageenan as stabilizer, thickener, suspending agent and emulsififier will be used in the production of jelly, soft candy, ice cream, beer and meat to keep moisture, elascity and soft texture; also it will be used as gelling and dispersing agent in the process of pharmaceutical and daily chemical products, such as capsule, toothpaste and so on.
