It was designed in compliance with the Pressure Equipment Directive according to EN 13445 and AD 2000 and certified by TÜV Nord. The connector is also available in different versions. With the use of AWH-Connect in place of classic clamp connections you minimize dead space in vessels. AWH-Connect combines the standard clamp connection seal (e.g. according to DIN 32676 or ASME-BPE), with the advantages of a block flange. This is welded into the vessel wall. This allows you to connect a component to a vessel flush to the wall, close to the product and, above all, without any dead space. With the AWH-Connect DIN 11864-2, the block flange has the contour of a nut flange DIN 11864-2, whereby sealing is achieved by means of an O-ring. With the use of AWH-Connect 11864 instead of the classic AWH-Connect, hygiene is once again significantly improved by the tried-and-tested O-ring seal. The positive effect of the AWH-Connect is obvious! The time and costs for cleaning and sterilization (CIP/SIP) of vessels can be considerably reduced. The cleaning results are visibly better and the validation of the CIP/SIP processes is simpler. Connect has been field-tested as a vessel connection and is an accepted connection which can be found in the ASME-BPE.
