Profümed Debuts Paper-Based Insulated Packaging at Gulfood Manufacturing 2025
Brand-Erbisdorf, Germany — Profümed, a specialist in pulp and nonwoven solutions, announces the Middle East showcase of its paper-based insulated packaging at Gulfood Manufacturing 2025, Dubai World Trade Centre. The new range of insulated bags and boxes is made from 100% recycled waste paper and can be fully disposed of in the paper recycling stream—eliminating material separation and reducing plastic waste.
Engineered for dependable cold-chain performance, the breathable structure prevents condensation and keeps parcels dry, while temperature is maintained with standard ice or gel packs. Each unit is a sewn pouch of highly creped recycled cellulose wrapped in protective fleece, delivering lightweight, stable insulation for refrigerated shipments.
Manufactured in Profümed’s own paper mill in Brand-Erbisdorf, Saxony, the products benefit from rigorous environmental management and responsible sourcing, with certifications to ISO 14001:2015, PEFC, FSC® (FSC-C167410), and EMAS. By using recycled fibers and CO₂-neutral energy, Profümed achieves a carbon-neutral balance in the production phase.
Standard sizes S, M, and L are available immediately; custom dimensions can be produced on request. Typical applications include pharmaceuticals, fresh and frozen foods, industrial samples, and e-commerce.
Meet Profümed at Gulfood Manufacturing 2025, Trade Centre Arena, Stand S-H32, to experience a proven, scalable alternative to plastic foams that simplifies recycling and supports corporate sustainability goals.
