Bucher Unipektin AG acquired it at the beginning of 2021. The company offers vacuum and freeze-drying systems primarily for the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Its expertise is based on many years of practical experience in plant engineering, coupled with economic and innovative engineering knowledge.
The drying technology activities of both companies are managed at the Bucher Merk Process headquarters in Laufenburg. Bucher Merk Process can now offer an even broader portfolio of innovative, robust drying technology and improved global service to customers of its vacuum and freeze-drying equipment.
Bucher Unipektin is a Switzerland-based business unit of Bucher Industries AG and a leading manufacturer of equipment and components for fruit juice and beer production, as well as vacuum and freeze-drying equipment for the food industry. It operates worldwide and has manufacturing facilities in Switzerland, Spain, the Czech Republic and China.
