Enzyme Development Corporation is the only producer of papain, a protease from the papaya latex, in the Western Hemisphere. EDC offers a wide range of powdered and liquid papain products that include specialty papain products, such as our Enzeco Purified Papain RS and Liquipanol RS, which are produced without the use of sulfites and have earned OMRI listed® certifications. The OMRI listing allows the papain to be used in certified organic operations or food processing under the USDA National Organic Program. Other specialty papain’s include a certified Kosher for Passover papain.
